Our Mission Statement

Ab Chao Art Association is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to the creation and presentation of original visual art and new music, alongside interdisciplinary performance and community-based programming.

The Society supports artists by developing opportunities for:

• The composition of new musical works

• The creation of original visual art

• Public exhibitions and live performances

• Workshops and community engagement initiatives

The Ab Chao Art Association was founded by two queer artists, and the Society is grounded in inclusive values and welcomes participation from artists and audiences of all backgrounds.

Our collective operates on the stolen land of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We support reperations, and the liberation and joy of oppressed nations here in BC, and everywhere.
